Video from the studio: Grumpy Onions Nate. (our guitar player)
Posted on Mar.02, 2009.
We went back to the studio this weekend to finish up some parts. We had a great time with Nate and his intolerance with onions! Enjoy. We had a good laugh at his expense. We are looking for a new manager. One that can actually drive a remote controlled car. So, if you can steadily maneuver a remote controlled car, you will be a great candidate! Email us at: info@thefirststone.com. Later!

That’s right! We’re on the front page of ReverbNation.com. ReverbNation.com is a wonderful tool for bands to help promote their shows, send their press kits out, keep track of fans, and their street team. Each year only a handful of artists get to be on the front page. There are over 200,000 artists registered on ReverbNation.com and you can see what a big deal this is. Spread the word!

Thank’s ReverbNation for helping us out and putting us on the front page! You rock!!!
In other news, it looks like we’ll have a lot of people at our Sweetwater show on April 16th. Make sure you come out because this will be a big show! Here is the link: http://www.thefirststoneband.com/sweetwater
Good times at Midtown Music Hall in Chattanooga, TN!

Would you look at that bass? Its pretty crazy looking. Yeah, it has 12 strings on it!
So, we rocked it at The Midtown Music Hall in Chattanooga, TN with Jason Lyles & The Sonic Avatars and Underhill and probably had our best show EVER. We were tearin’ it up. Not going to mention any names, but someone in the band forgot to bring some CDs to sell!!!!!! Guess they’ll just have to come to the website and get the new CD.
Underhill was a nice surprise. I heard some people saying they were a cross between My Morning Jacket and Pearl Jam. They were good, nonetheless Check their stuff out at: http://www.myspace.com/underhill
Jason Lyles and The Sonic Avatars released their new CD and it was a packed night. A big thanks goes out to our soundman of the night Joey who ran things pretty smoothly and kept all the bands sounding great. There is a reason why people think this is the best sounding club in Chattanooga, and I’m sure he is a big reason why. We were partying the whole night! Pictures are up on the pictures page, so check em out and leave any comments you may have on this page. Hope to see you at the next show!
Keep on Rockin!!!

The First Stone is an eclectic culmination of working-class musicians based out of Atlanta, Georgia. Their sound is best described indie-folk-rock infused with funk. TFS is led by front man Brian Kelly on guitar and vocals. Brian has spent time in Chattanooga, TN., Athens, and Augusta, GA as a solo artist and with other full band projects (Drive South, Tony Kick). Terry Kroon keeps the groove alive on bass while Aubrey Bailey balances it all out on percussion and drums. Terry comes from Minnesota where days and nights are cold. His grooves are anything but cold and possibly too hot for this band! Aubrey has been in previous bands such as Bound and Great White Dolemite. Guitar player Nate Kieser hails from Peoria, IL and has performed all across the country. He brings unique guitar riffs and a killer sound to the band.
